John 4:43-54

Some people never look back on their lives. They have no interest in an inventory of successes and failures at the end of the day. Jesus was not afraid to go back to the places where his message had not hit home. Nor was he afraid to revisit the scenes of his earlier triumphs. He had a good sense of the importance of the past. Each of us has a “time travel” mechanism in our own minds. We can go back and correct some old failures. We can go forward and create some new successes. Retracing your steps is sometimes the fastest way to move forward.
