Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Mark 10:46-52

The kingdom of God is not some heavenly resort, reserved for those who are physically fit, financially solvent, and morally respectable. It is a family of faith that cares for all of God’s children especially those who are down and out and desperate. As followers of Jesus, as Christians this should also be our motto: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”
