Luke 12:13-21
The supreme folly of the man in this gospel story which won him the title “fool,” was that he left God out of the picture. He did not provide the rain, he did not provide the sun or the ground in which the seed was planted, nor did he give life to the seed. All of this was the hand of God. Yet we do not hear him giving thanks to God for all his blessings. Another point of his foolishness is that he never gave thanks.
