Luke 17:7-10

Jesus reminds us in this parable of the faithful servants that our relationship with God should not fill us with self-righteousness but humble us with gratitude for what God has done for us in our lives. In both great struggles or quiet Christian duty we are doing no more than what is expected of us as Christians. The only meaningful response we can make to God is to try to love others as he loves us. We live and move and have our being only because of the incomprehensible, creative love of God.
