Mark 9:41-50

These verses remain a strong challenge to the wishy-washy Christian. They are a clarion call to the eliminating of evil in our lives. We ought to ruthlessly prune out the briars that strangle the life of purity and purpose. We need to rid our lives of the habits and lusts which deflect us from a life of faith. We need to learn to manage our anger because anger is the enemy of love. We need to deal with our despair because despair is the enemy of hope. We need to overcome our cynicism because cynicism is the enemy of faith. Eliminating evil habits and lusts is no easy task. We need the Lord!
