Feast of St. Joseph the Worker
John 14:27-31
In 1955, Pope Pius XII dedicated this day to St. Joseph the Worker. Today might be a good opportunity for all of us to question what our life is all about. Granted, work occupies a large portion of our time – but is that all there is to life? What does our work really mean to us? Do we appreciate the work others do for us? All work is noble – it enables each person to reach out to others in a way that benefits all. We are extensions of the Lord Jesus – continuing his work here on earth. Our work is a ministry. St. Joseph, pray for us.
