Matthew 5:17-19
C.S. Lewis observed that “there is one vice of which no one in the world is free; which everyone in the world loathes when he sees it in someone else; and of which hardly any people, except Christians, ever imagine that they are guilty themselves. This vice is pride. The virtue that is its opposite is humility. It is a terrible thing that this worst of all vices can smuggle itself into the very center of religion.”
