Second Sunday of Lent

Luke 9:28-36

Our burdens will never be as intense as those of Jesus, but we all have our concerns and worries, our illnesses and setbacks and anxieties. We can be changed, nourished and strengthened in our personal prayer and in the celebration of the sacraments. In Mass God nourishes us with his Word. This Word challenges us to evaluate our faithfulness to our call as disciples. It also gives us encouragement to continue on even when we see no hope in sight. Any experience of God is a transfiguring experience.
