Matthew 7:15-20

We cannot tell whether prophets are God’s prophets merely by look­ing at the clothes they wear. Prophets sent by God and false proph­ets both wear the same vestments. Only by determining whether or not the message of a prophet is true can false prophets be uncov­ered and God’s prophets be discerned. Twice Jesus says, “By their fruits you will know them.”
