Mark 3:31-35

Jesus took this unfortunate conflict with his own family to teach an important truth. We are not limited in our responsibility to the ties of kinship, geography, or nationality. We belong to a family that transcends all the normal ways of grouping human beings by households, by religion, by nationality, by race, by class. We are all brothers and sisters to one another because we are all children of God.
