Just as a sower places seed in the ground to grow plants, so a lamp is lit that it may give light in the room. The gospel is preached that it may have effect in the lives of Christians. No one puts it in a jar where it will be extinguished or under a bed where it does no good. What we do with the gospel both within our own lives and in sharing it with others, will eventually be revealed both in us and in them.
