Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time –
A deep awareness of God’s presence and his loving concern can help calm our fears. “I will fear no evil for you are with me,” says the Psalmist. We need to use our faith in God to fight off our fears. And we do not have to face life’s calamities alone. The entire tone of this reading is that Jesus would be with us through all our problems. He reminded us that through faith in Him nothing could harm us, not even death.
