Did you ever notice how important blinders are in a horse race?  Unless they wear something to block out the sight of the other horses running alongside them, horses would constantly be distracted. The trick is to keep their eyes on the track and on what is in front of them, not on their competitors. Our business is to follow the Lord. Maybe a set of blinders for every one of us would come in handy. We might trip and fall flat on our face if we are focused on everyone else and not watching our own way.
