USCSI REFLECTIONS

St. John of God – 

We might be appalled to think that Jesus was not accepted by his own people. Are we certain that we do not possess some of these attitudes and ideas that are equally absurd? Imagine having separate water fountains from which to drink based on the color of your skin. Whom do we exclude from our understanding of Christianity? I believe there is no less narrow-mindedness in our present-day society. Some people are still rejected because of their race, religion, color, or sexual orientation, some because they are poor, others because they are ill or old.
