Saturday of the Second Week of Lent –
The Prodigal’s sin is quite obvious, and he gets full press in this story. Yet the other son is also a sinner but maybe not so obvious. We have never heard this story referred to as “the story of the ill-tempered, selfish son.” He could hide his sin a little easier. This son was steady, dependable, industrious and thrifty. He stayed at home, did his work, and obeyed all the rules. But he chose the sin of separating himself from his brother.
