We go to Church seeking to find God there, instead of experiencing the presence of God in the time of worship. So, it is not only about being present in a church but how we spend our time there and what occurs in that time is what influences and animates our life. In the Byzantine Liturgy the deacon says to the priest, “Father, let us go, it is time for the Lord to act.” The liturgy is the time for the Lord to act in our lives.
