The Presentation of the Lord – 

If we cannot see God in the ordinary events of life, this does not mean God is absent. More likely, the problem is my faulty spiritual vision due to my weak relationship with the God who inspires. If we search for God only in the unusual, we will rarely see him at all. But if we train our eyes to see God in the ordinary, and in every person, we will meet Him every day. Today, our Gospel reading introduces us to a man who overcame this tendency to find God only in the sensational. His name was Simeon.
