St. John Damascene – 

There is a story about a young boy who shined shoes to help earn money for his family. One day a man drove up to the street corner where the boy shined shoes. The man was driving a beautiful, expensive red sports car. The boy shined his shoes, then walked with the man as he returned to the sports car. The boy’s eyes grew large as he drew near the car, and he said, “Where did you get that car?” The man told him that his brother had given him the car. The boy whistled, and then said, “I hope someday I can buy my brother a car like that!”
