Dedication of the Basilica of St. Mary Major – 

In the world in which we live it is so important for us to hear Jesus who appeals to the best within every one of us.  He told Peter that he is rock.  He is saying something to you and to me. Listen to him through others, through the circumstances of our life! In a dialog between a person and God, the person asked God why he no longer speaks to us as he did to the people in the Old and New Testaments. God replied: “I am still speaking, but people are not listening.”
