Thursday within the Octave of Easter

Luke 24:35-48

Not once this week do we see Jesus looking back or even referring to life with his disciples prior to the passion and death. There was no debriefing nor discussion about their abandoning him or denying him – no seminar about his disappointment with their behavior. He is looking ahead and preparing them for their role in his ministry of bringing life and love to the world. He says to them GO AND TELL – don’t just sit here worrying about yourself and feeling sorry for yourself or rehashing last week. This message is for everyone and is to be shared. It is not just for the eleven of you but for everyone.
