USCSI REFLECTIONS

Second Sunday of Easter  (Divine Mercy)

John 20: 19-31

My friends, if you are ever going to be a skeptic, be an honest one. Don’t be ashamed of your doubts. Jesus never suggested that in order to follow him we had to quit thinking. Instead he said: “you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” It has stood the test for twenty centuries. I don’t think his words will fall apart just because we ask a few honest questions. Doubt is not always bad, but honest doubters, doubt their doubts.
